Mary began working at the Sarah Dooley Center for Autism in February 2016. Her journey started after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013 and working as a research assistant at VCU, where she became curious about the relation between psychology and education. She started at the Sarah Dooley Center for Autism as a classroom counselor and later became an instructional assistant, working alongside the classroom teacher. She found a passion for teaching and became a teacher in July of 2018. She is currently pursuing a higher education in Special Education to progress her passion for teaching.
