Matthew Fitrer, Teacher
Matthew joined St. Joseph’s Villa in September 2014 after a promising start working with adolescents at The Boys and Girls Club of Metro Richmond. He quickly moved up the ranks at SJV, where he began as a Counselor before taking on the position of Operations Coordinator and eventually a Behavior Interventionist. After discovering his passion for work with students with intellectual disabilities, Matthew joined the Sarah Dooley School of Autism in 2017 as a Counselor, where he became a teacher in early 2018. A graduate of Ferrum College, Matthew is currently pursuing his Teacher Licensure at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
